Anti-racist and equalities centred supervision drop in sessions We are piloting workshops open to delegates who attended PSDP in Waves 3 and 4 and who would like to continue developing an anti racist and equalities centred approach to the supervision they offer. We hope that these workshops will provide a reflective space to extend our focus on Social Graces, Critical Conversations and Equality Barriers to support practice supervisors in developing their skills and confidence in integrating all areas of diversity within supervision. Would you like the conversations in your supervision to offer a deep thinking space around racism and other forms of oppression and social inequalities? Would you like to initiate these conversations with more confidence and awareness? Are there occasions when holding a Critical Conversations (which foregrounds all elements of difference and diversity) would be helpful to you and/or your supervisees in strengthening relationships? Would you like support in furthering your learning from the PSDP, specifically regarding the Social Graces, Critical Conversations the Secure base Model and small group reflective processes? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, complete our survey and we will send you a calendar invite for these sessions We are holding 3 drop in workshops, each lasting 2 hours. The workshops will be co-facilitated by Sharon Jennings and Sandie Chatterton. Each attendee will be an active participant, having conversations and participating in learning activities to further their development. To achieve this we will be using an adapted Open Space Model, where the agenda for each workshop will be drawn up on the day with the attendees of that session. The session dates are: 10 March – 10.30am – 12.30pm 7 April – 10.30am – 12.30pm 17 May – 10.30am – 12.30pm (They will be held via Microsoft Teams.) At the start of each workshop, attendees will be asked these two questions: What conversation do you want to have today that would help in developing your skills and confidence? In what way will might this conversation help you in embedding an anti-racist/equalities approach to your supervision? The agenda will be decided from attendees’ responses. We imagine the focus to be on having conversations using some elements of the Critical Conversation tool, however we might plan other related activities e.g. skills practice, role plays, small group break out sessions etc. We will also be able to create shared resources (using Sharepoint ) that capture our questions, discussions and key insights on the day. In keeping with the Open Space model, there will be agreed ground rules at the start of the session so that together we create a safe space for attendees to do the work they need to do on the day. There is no obligation to attend however If you are interested, please click on link below. You will be asked for your name and email address. Once we receive this, you will receive joining instructions, and you are welcome to attend 1, 2 or all workshops. To hear more about additional PSDP workshops – watch this space.
